I don't have an exact answer but I have (probably) the same unit. Buggy software, clumsy web interface.
Best waves vocal plugins. I use IP Cam Viewer Pro which is an android app..but.. I use Blue Stacks on my laptop (Dell XT3) and I can use/view my cameras with it. As far as playback, yes it does have record/playback but I haven't used it but all the options are there for searching, etc.
IP Cam Viewer Pro is a paid app but the author is fantastic in keeping up with the latest dvr's, cameras, etc.
I also use it with my wireless ip cams.. ptz cams.. and it works wonderfully.
